The cryptocurrency market has seen heightened volatility, and this volatility is also evident in the altcoin market, irrespective of Bitcoin’s price. Most alts’ current picture saw a strong surge in valuation followed by either a period of market stabilisation or an imminent major price swing.

Alts such as BitTorrent [BTT], Crypto.com Coin [CRO], and Decred [DCR] have been showing a degree of bullishness in the sector that has been dominated by sellers.

BitTorrent [BTT]

In the recent past, the value of BTT has broken through several stages of resistance to reach $0.0035. Since the beginning of February, the digital commodity has been trading above the 50-day moving average, indicating a clear uptrend in the market.

The relative strength index, on the other hand, was still in the overbought range as investors flooded the market. The current value of the RSI is 71, and it may experience a sudden sell-off in order to stabilise the value of the digital asset.

In contrast, unlike most other altcoin markets, momentum was strong, which could help in a possible pattern turnaround.

Crypto.com Coin [CRO]

The above Crypto.com [CRO] chart shows that the digital asset’s price has been rising since mid-February. Also in March, the relative strength index showed that the bullish market was close to being overbought. It has now fallen to 54, which is near to equilibrium.

The 50 moving average, on the other hand, has stayed below the price bars, showing that the price was in an uptrend. This uptrend, though, was losing steam as the MACD indicator flipped. The MACD line dipped below the signal line, reflecting the market’s bearish mood.

Decred [DCR]

The Decred valuation has also seen a clear upward trend, bolstering the digital asset’s value. DCR, on the other hand, has now entered a consolidation process, with its valuation travelling along the help at $153.78.

Meanwhile, the RSI indicated that the market was in a state of equilibrium as buyers and sellers balanced each other out.

However, as selling pressure builds in the market, money may begin to flow out, as suggested by the declining value of the Chaikin Money Flow. While bullish, there could be a bearish effect on the altcoin’s price as money flows out.

Low volatility in Bitcoin SV market disallowed for large price swings from $199.17-support. Bitcoin Cash was unable to flip $507.5-resistance, while BitTorrent hinted at a minor pullback towards $0.0033-support.

Bollinger Bands on Bitcoin SV converged and showed low volatility as the price overturned $199.17 to a region of support once again. A dip in trading volumes and muted buying activity suggested some sideways movement for BSV in the short-term. In a bearish scenario, key levels of focus would be the present support mark at $199.17 and another at $189.2.

ADX reading of under 10 showed a weak trend and only reinforced the projected rangebound behavior. The long-term target for the bulls rested at $250, and a hike in the 24-hour trading volumes would see the bulls make some headway towards the target.

Bitcoin Cash met with rejection after the price approached the upper ceiling of $507.5 on the 4-hour timeframe. While OBV did rise as the price picked up from $460.5-support, the index flattened at the time of writing as buying pressure depleted in the market.

To initiate a bullish rally, BCH would first need to rise north of $550.2-resistance. This would likely see gains all the way up till the $600-mark, an area that led to a strong sell-off after the previous rally. RSI reflected equilibrium in the price after it settled around 50. Once again, the trading volumes must be observed over the coming sessions for sharp price movements.

BitTorrent’s movement in 2021 has been quite impressive so far. Its rally in early February saw the cryptocurrency rise to record levels. From that point, BTT managed to sustain its higher level and eventually snapped newer ATH’s during March as well. Year-to-date gains amounted to 1,148.6% at the time of writing. However, the technicals painted a bearish picture with regards to its short-term trajectory.

A bit of a divergence was spotted on RSI after it made lower highs while the price held steady at $0.00382-resistance. Awesome Oscillator quickly overturned a bearish twin peak but favored the sellers at press time. In a bearish scenario, support levels reside at $0.0033 and $0.0029.

Crypto.com Coin and BitTorrent flashed signs of exhaustion from record levels. Cosmos’ bulls maintained the price above $21.4 support. Lastly, EGLD moved within a descending triangle but an upwards breakout over the coming sessions would invalidate the pattern.

Gains in the last seven days amounted to nearly 35% as Crypto.com Coin made a steady recovery towards record levels. Successive green candlesticks on the 4-hour chart showed strong bullish sentiment in the market. However, the appearance of a bearish spinning top, which usually indicates a reversal, added some skepticism in the mix.

Moreover, the RSI showed an oversaturation of buyers in the market and a sharp move below the upper region would reflect in CRO’s price as well. The MACD’s histogram also noted weakening bullish momentum, even though the fast-moving line was above the Signal line. In the event of a pullback, support levels reside at $0.23 and $0.198.

Even though Cosmos saw choppy movement below $24.3 resistance, the price remained above a strong support level of $21.4. The aforementioned support mark was an important level to maintain for the bulls after they regained lost territory for the first time since the broader market pullback in late-February.

The RSI spiked in the overbought zone as ATOM eyed a move above $24.5 resistance, but reversed trajectory as the price stabilized on the 4-hour timeframe. The next target for the bulls resided at $26.29-resistance. The MACD line moved below the Signal line and reflected bearish sentiment in the market. A fall below the press time support would highlight the next defense at $19.8.

The last 24 hours saw BitTorrent jump by nearly 90% on the back of strong buying activity and healthy volumes. The OBV registered a spike, dipped slightly, and pointed north once again as buying pressure drove the price to its newest ATH. Trading volumes clocked in at nearly $5 Billion, up by 367% compared to yesterday.

However,  the Stochastic RSI did point towards a pullback after a bearish crossover in the overbought region. Spinning top candlesticks were also indicative of a trend reversal for BTT. The bulls must be weary of avoiding a sharp sell off in the coming sessions, a scenario that was already witnessed when the last ATH was snapped during early-February.

A descending triangle emerged on Elrond’s 4-hour chart after the price formed lower highs since climbing above the $160-mark, while the lows remained largely steady at $128.1 support.

The Awesome Oscillator was bullish-neutral, while the the CMF stayed well above the half-way mark and showed strong capital inflows towards the cryptocurrency. A rise above the upper trendline would present the next target at $152.8 resistance. Conversely, a breakdown from this pattern would likely see EGLD move towards the $100-support.

BitTorrent surged over 87% on the day as a result of various trading competitions that involved BTT token. What’s next for BitTorrent, and should you consider buying some BTT now?

BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer file-sharing and torrent platform that dates back to July 2001 when it was first launched. The platform was then purchased by the TRON blockchain platform in July 2018. Ever since its acquisition, BitTorrent managed to improve and add various new tools. Its native cryptocurrency, BTT, launched in February 2019 on the TRON network.

BTT’s sudden price increase is most likely caused by multiple trading contests that included BitTorrent, including the ones hosted by Huobi and Binance.

BTT posted week-over-week gains of 135.85%, outperforming both BTC‘s week-over-week gain of 2.55% and ETH‘s 3.07% gain. BitTorrent is currently the 32nd-largest cryptocurrency by market cap, boasting a value of $3.39 billion.

At the time of writing, BTT is trading for $0.00337, which represents a price increase of 166.93% when compared to the previous month’s value.

If we take a look at the BTT/USD 1-hour chart, we can clearly see the massive price increase that started on Friday. The leg up was accompanied by a healthy surge in volume that allowed BTT to reach s high as $0.004.

BitTorrent is currently in a healthy consolidation phase, with its price creating a small triangle formation. Since the formation was created on such a small time-frame, BTT already managed to push through it and position itself in a trading range.

The cryptocurrency is currently trading between the 38.2% Fib retracement level of $0.00326 and the 23.6% Fib retracement level of $0.00355. The trading range was confirmed twice, first by testing the downside and then by testing the upside as well.

BTT is currently trading in the middle of the range, with clear-set boundaries. This may help traders in both determining its next move, as well as set their stop-losses.

The cryptocurrency market has had to face increased bearish momentum in the past week and with Bitcoin dropping to the $45k price range, many of the market’s altcoins too have followed BTC and traded lower. At the time of writing, Bitcoin was trading at $44,474 with a 24-hour trading volume of $42.9 billion.

For altcoins like Stellar, DigiByte, and BitTorrent such has been the case and an immediate recovery looks unlikely given the current market conditions.

Stellar [XLM]

Stellar’s price fell by over 15 percent in the past week and currently trades at $0.41. The coin’s price has tested the support at $0.37 in the past few days and is now making slight gains towards its immediate resistance at $0.54. The Bollinger Bands for the coin have contracted and show less volatility in the coin’s price action. The RSI indicator looks bearish at the moment as it heads closer to the oversold zone.

BitTorrent [BTT]

BitTorrent’s price fell by over 28 percent in the past 7 days and is currently valued at $0.0011. The bearish pressure is visible as the coin’s price plummeted by over 8 percent in a day’s time. The coin is currently testing its support level around its current trading price and if this support fails BTT is likely to undo all its recent gains and trade around the $0.0004 price range. There is significant resistance around the $0.0014 range if an uptrend were to occur.

The RSI indicator for the coin is falling steadily as it heads into the oversold zone. Interestingly, the EMA ribbons have settled below the coin’s trading price and are offering support for the coin.

DigiByte [DGB]

DigiByte is currently trading at $0.051 and has a market cap of over $730 million. In the past week, the coin’s price fell by 33.6 percent and currently finds itself close to the support level at $0.049. If the downtrend were to continue there is another support around the $0.035 price level that could help stabilize the coin’s price.

The MACD indicator and the RSI signal increased bearish pressure for DGB. The MACD indicator has undergone a bearish crossover while the RSI continues to move into the oversold zone.

After the recent price rally of Bitcoin (BTC) following Tesla’s $1.5 billion purchase of the coin, another crypto asset has taken another leap in price. BitTorrent (BTT) rose by more than 156% within a day to close at $ 0.00192 on February 9, hitting a new all-time high in the process.

BitTorrent was bought in 2019 by Tron Chief Executive Officer Justin Sun. BTT was immediately integrated into the Tron Blockchain after the acquisition.

The cryptocurrency has been quiet for months now, but it seems the bullish run in the market has galvanized the coin. It has maintained a 24-hour upward movement for the past several days now.

BitTorrent’s performance is not unique only to the cryptocurrency, as other coins have been performing well too. This has been attributed to strong institutional demand in the market.

Several altcoins rallied above 20% within the same period. These include BTT, TRX, AVAX, RUNE, EGLD, DGB, XVS, and LUNA. However, BitTorrent  (BTT) is the highest gainer. In fact, it’s the highest gainer when it comes to the top 100 cryptocurrencies.

The massive surge of BTT has not been triggered by any buzz or fundamental activities surrounding the token. This gives credence to the idea that the high price may be triggered only by traders who buy BitTorrent. It could also be linked to those investing in TRON, known that both tokens share the same ownership.

On February 5th, Tron began its registration for the global DeFi hackathon event, with prizes worth $10 million set to be distributed at the event. The first and second price will be $1 million, while the special TRON (TRX) price is $500,000.

Observers say BitTorent’s link to Tron could have spurred the token’s price. The price of BitTorrent was hovering between $0.0002 and $0.0004 before it took a massive leap within 24 hours. It has also hit a milestone when it comes to market capitalization at $16 billion.

Many coins in the altcoin market endured pull-backs with Ethereum facing some resistance at $2000 and were unable to hold on to the $1915 price level as well. Ontology dropped sharply beneath the $1.4 mark, and BitTorrent token rose toward a level of resistance at $0.02.

A move for ETH beneath the rising channel and the inability to defend $1896 meant that the next level of retracement for ETH would likely test is $1811, and $1745 beneath it.

The rising channel is a bearish reversal pattern and gives a target of $1745 for bears to achieve in the coming days. The $1915 saw a brief bounce for ETH as it moved higher to touch $1965, but faced stiff selling pressure once more and was pushed beneath the $1900 mark.

The Awesome Oscillator on the 4-hour chart showed that the bullish momentum of the past few days was waning. The indicator too could soon turn in favor of the bears.

ONT formed a bullish flag but was imperative that ONT not move beneath $1.4 for the pattern to play out. The bulls were able to force a brief breakout to the $1.5 mark, but this was likely a liquidity hunt.

The $1.28 is an imminent level of support for ONT, but the MACD showed strong bearish momentum. Slipping beneath the $1.28 level would likely see ONT retest it as resistance and move toward $1.14.

BTT was rejected firmly at the $0.002 level earlier this month. After oscillating between the 23.6% and 38.2% retracement levels, BTT climbed above the range and was once more on track to test the same level of resistance.

Trading volume has picked up comparatively. The RSI has been moving above the neutral 50 for a few days now, indicative of an uptrend. Over the coming days, if BTT is able to flip the $0.002 level of resistance to support, a 27% extension gives a bullish target of $0.0032 to take profits on long positions.

As the global crypto market saw a bearish progression this week, BTT, ANKR and DENT stands as the best performers to date.

By and large, the entire market has experienced a huge dip in the past 7 days, and this is reflected in the global crypto market cap which has dropped from a high of $1.9 trillion to $1.66 trillion at the time of writing according to CoinMarketCap.

Bitcoin’s volatility, pressure, and counter pressure from both the bears and bulls respectively waded the bearish sentiment on the market as the cryptocurrency remarkably has a sustained 60% dominance on the market. Its fall therefore almost always has a ripple effect in the market.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin is undergoing some losses and exchanging hands at $52,863.56, down by 0.14% in the past 24 hours.

Despite the market dip, however, three altcoins BitTorrent (BTT), Ankr (ANKR), and Dent (DENT) showed an unusual resilience, rising above all odds to close the week with positive gains to this point. While other altcoins also have positive gains, these three stand as the top earners for the week-to-date period.

BitTorrent (BTT)

BitTorrent (BTT) is a relatively low-capped altcoin that is backed by Tron’s Justin Sun and finds relevance as a peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing and torrent platform which has become increasingly decentralized in recent years. The coin is currently trading at $0.003278, up 0.72% in the past 24 hours and by 70.21% in the past week.

The BTT token has a good history of closing high amid market plunges and its low market cap of $3.2 billion makes it one of the best altcoins investors stacks up on.

Ankr (ANKR)

Ankr’s performance in the past week is marked by a 255% increase in trading volume over the past 24 hours, and its current price of $0.12 comes after a 23.35% daily increase and a 71.13% weekly gain.

Ankr offers a solution that utilizes shared resources in order to provide easy and affordable blockchain node hosting solutions. With a defined real-world product offering, the coin’s momentum might just be sustainable in the long term.

Dent (DENT)

Dent (DENT), the native token of dent wireless, a broadband service provider is arguably the best altcoin performer of the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. The coin has amassed a 153.3% increase within the last 7 days, and though it is worth as low as $0.01006 at present valuations, it is trading up to more than 14,000% from its all-time low price of $0.00007049 attained a year ago.
