ADA price – Top 3 price Prediction Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple: Crypto bull cycle awaits Bitcoin’s imminent upswing beyond $62,000

The cryptocurrency bullish cycle is still intact, although it has reduced the aggressiveness. Bitcoin hit a wall marginally under $62,000 over the weekend, but a reversal occurred toward $53,000. The rebound that came into the picture failed to overcome the hurdle at $60,000, which explains the ongoing minor retreat.

Ethereum also tested support at $1,700 but is currently struggling with sustaining price action above $1,800. The cross-border token, Ripple, is dancing at $0.47 while focusing on making a real break above $0.5

Cardano is the most improved cryptoasset, with gains above 15%. The upcoming smart contract token has become the darling of the cryptocurrency space after listing on Coinbase Pro earlier in the week.

The pioneer cryptocurrency is trading slightly under $58,000 following a retreat from highs above $59,000. Recovery from the recent dip to $53,000 lost steam before tackling the seller congestion at $60,000. However, support is envisioned at the 50 Simple Moving Average (SMA) on the 4-hour chart, whereby more buyers are expected to join the market.

Bitcoin only needs to slightly push upward to lift off to a new all-time high based on the strong technical levels. For instance, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) has a bullish bias and is holding within the positive territory.

Ether had sliced through the resistance at $1,800, but seller congestion at $1,850 cut short the breakout. A retreat followed with the price tumbling under the 50 SMA on the 4-hour chart. Sell orders appear to have been triggered following the slide below $1,800.

Meanwhile, Ethereum is trading at $1,790 as bulls fight to secure support at the ascending channel’s lower edge. If this support is lost, Ether will be bound to fall to $1,700, where support has been provided by the 100 SMA and the 200 SMA.

Note that closing the day above the $1,800 and the 50 SMA would open the road for gains toward $2,000.

XRP is trading above a symmetrical triangle pattern. This is the second time the cross-border token has broken out of this pattern. If the 200 SMA resistance (marginally under $0.5) cracks, XRP would complete the 34% upswing target to highs around $0.63.

The MACD indicator has been on an upward roll since the minor dip at the beginning of the week. The action beyond the mean line will signal that the trend is mainly in the bulls’ hands. Moreover, closing the day above $0.5 will confirm to the bulls that Ripple is primed for gains to higher price levels.

XRP/USD 4-hour hour chart

It is worth mentioning that the upswing will fail to occur if overhead pressure mounts under the 200 SMA. The downside support at the 50 SMA and 100 SMA must hold to cushion XRP from the drop. However, losses will increase appreciably of the price breaks under the robust support at $0.4.

Bitcoin Cash entered today at $523.72, down 2.31% ($12.38) from yesterday. The cryptocurrency market started to grow again after the mid-week drop and the total market cap exceeded $ 1.7 trillion. Several different altcoins have doubled in value, with the top 5 earning altcoins Dent, BitMax Token, ANKR, PancakeSwap and BitTorrent.

The leader of this week was Dent (DENT), which gained 8.956% on an annual basis. DENT’s trade volume, while normally hovering at the level of 200 million, rose to over $ 1 billion on March 23. Today it fell back to $ 201 million.

Ignoring the long-term performances * and looking at only the week of March 20-27, 4 more altcoins stand out.

Cryptocurrencies across the market have lost some of the gains accrued over the weekend following news regarding India ‘calibrating’ its position on the proposed bill to ban cryptocurrencies in the vast nation. The new report hints at a total ban on trading, owning, and mining digital assets.

Bitcoin rallied above $60,000 and traded a new all-time high at $61,096; however, it has been forced to revisit downstream levels toward $55,000. The instability in the market is not leaving any stoned unturned because other assets such as Ethereum, Ripple, Binance Coin, and Cardano are in the red.

Bitcoin has lost a significant amount of its value following the spike to a new all-time high. The volatility has been connected to India’s impending ban on cryptocurrencies. The country has a large population that depends on the trading and mining of digital assets. News on the ban likely to cut their income is bound to lead to panic and market volatility.

Bitcoin is trading at $55,600 at the time of writing. The ongoing losses are likely to extend further, especially with 50 Simple Moving Average (SMA) support giving in. For now, the least resistance path is downwards, as indicated by the Relative Strength Index. Support is highlighted at the 100 SMA near $50,000, whereby buying orders are likely to surge as investors take advantage of the low prices.

BTC/USD 4-hour

Ethereum is in the middle of a correction after slicing through the rising wedge pattern support. Immediate support at the 200 SMA helps to keep the bears in check. However, the wedge has a downward target of $1,360.

The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) has confirmed the bearish picture. If the situation remains unchanged, Ether will continue with the breakdown under the 200 SMA.

Note that action above $1,800 would see ETH abandon the bearish outlook in favor of a bullish upswing toward $2,000. Bulls must focus on overcoming the hurdle at the 50 SMA on the 4-hour chart.

The former Chief Technology Officer at Ripple, Jed McCaleb, is still offloading his XRP stash I to the market. The latest report shows that McCaleb sold 150 million XRP from “tacostand,” his known wallet. The wallet has roughly $450 million XRP that he may continue selling for the rest of 2021.

At the time of writing, XRP is doddering at $0.44 amid a recovery from the intraday low of $0.41. On the upside, XRP will face acute selling pressure at the 100 SMA and the descending trendline. The MACD shows that the trend is likely to flip bullish, allowing buyers to focus on $0.5.

Ripple will remain in the woods as long as it is stuck under $0.5. The hurdle at this point hinders bulls from looking toward higher levels such as $0.65 and $0.75. Therefore, price action above $0.5 could jumpstart the uptrend.

Bitcoin is rallying and as the price increases, there is increasing selling pressure on the token and is likely to cause the next price correction. Altcoins with small market cap have offered double-digit returns, and a low market cap means low liquidity, however, the latest exchange listings and updates have given a boost to the price for tokens like NPXS (117% up), HNT (47.97% up), SC (100% up). Large market cap altcoins like Ethereum are the focus for most retail traders as increased liquidity has increased the volatility and allowed for price movements and more frequent profit booking opportunities.

Altcoins in the top 20 are right at their HTF supports and waiting for a dip in Bitcoin’s price. Once the inflow shifts to altcoins, there may be a possible decoupling from the fractal. Traders would argue that mid-caps are interesting due to the price action, and they are looking for a bounce-back. However, it does not apply to the current price cycle, since currently, Bitcoin is under increasing buying pressure and something similar is unraveling in the altcoin markets.

Most altcoin charts are choppy, unlike Theta, which ranks 14th with a 17% price gain in the past 24 hours. Among the choppy ones, and in the top ten is Litecoin/USD pair, and LTC is closely following Bitcoin. This is an altcoin with a large market cap, long-term bullish sentiment based on price chart and trading volume. Defi tokens like UNI that have flooded exchanges and increased liquidity have low exchange outflows. DeFi tokens have done more than offer double-digit returns, in some cases, the returns have been around 100% or more growth on the same day or a week.

Corresponding to this time on the Ethereum network, among other tokens, Uniswap’s exchange outflow has hit a 3 month low. So is it time to focus on large-cap altcoins? Mid and low cap are bullish in the long-term but the current price action suggests large-cap has got the most retail attention and investment among top alts. Currently, it looks like the price action in DeFi and other tokens would lead to a revival of the alt season and Ethereum stands to gain significantly.

Regarding moving averages, it should first be noted that price has crossed the 20 hour moving average, resulting in them so that price is now turning above it. The moving averages on the hourly timeframe suggest a bearishness in price, as the 20, 50, 100 and 200 are all in a bearish alignment — meaning the shorter duration moving averages are below the longer duration averages, implying a stable downward trend.

518.17 (USD) was the opening price of the day for Bitcoin Cash, resulting in the previous day being one in which price moved up 4.22% ($20.99) from the previous day. In the past 24 hours, the cryptocurrency market managed to recover about 80$ billion in market capitalization reaching $1.81 trillion. The next target is the astronomical $2 trillion capitalization level.

Most cryptocurrencies are in the green today while Bitcoin’s dominance continues declining, dropping 2 percentage points in the past week. 

On the daily chart, the uptrend has been kept intact and Bitcoin held the key support level at $53,700, the 26-EMA. This moving average has served as an accurate guide for the bulls throughout this recent bull rally.

The only resistance point is the previous all-time high of $61,844. A breakout above this point should swiftly drive Bitcoin price towards $70,000 and up to $76,200 at the 127.2% Fibonacci level. 

On the other hand, losing the key 26-EMA support level at $53,650 would push Bitcoin price down to at least $50,450 at the 78.6% Fibonacci Retracement level and as low as $41,554. 

In the past week, Ethereum has been trading sideways but remains contained inside an ascending broadening wedge pattern on the 12-hour chart. There is a critical support level at $1,700 which coincides with the 50-SMA and the 100-SMA levels.

ETH/USD 12-hour chart

Holding this key support point should push Ethereum higher. The short-term resistance is located at $1,944, a breakout above this level should push ETH towards the all-time high of $2,042. Further than that, the next price target would be the top trendline of the pattern at $2,423. 

On the other hand, a breakdown below the key support level at $1,700 would drive Ethereum price down to the lower boundary of the pattern at $1,520. 

XRP has been rejected from a key resistance level at $0.488 several times in the past month. On the 12-hour chart, the digital asset formed an ascending triangle pattern.

A breakdown below the lower trendline support at $0.444 will drive Ripple price down to $0.36. However, if bulls can finally crack the key resistance level of $0.488, the digital asset will quickly explode towards a high of $0.581.

Based on price data from coinmarketcap.com nearly all top altcoins and Bitcoin are going through a downward spell. But there are outliers, altcoins like XRP, THETA, FIL, CRO, MIOTA. They are outliers because their weekly ROI is double-digit, positive, and safe from the current bearish outage.

Swimming against the tide, and having these altcoins in a portfolio, can mean the difference between net unrealized profit and net unrealized loss in the current scenario. Though historically, outliers emerge in every rally, they emerge in every downward trend as well.

Currently, they include top altcoins, DeFi, NFTs, and other tokens with narratives centered on product updates, launches, and shortage of supply/ liquidity crunch. Among top altcoins, ETH with a 0.86 correlation to BTC is about 48 days from its local peak on Feb 2021.

It is expected that the consolidation and the price rise will come, however, the current drop in trade volume (20% in 24 hours) and the dropping demand from institutional and retail traders may have slowed down the uptrend in ETH.

It may take over a month’s recovery for ETH, based on its historic performance. This break from leading the alt rally is instrumental in increasing ROI of the outliers.

The key to getting maximum returns on trades for retail traders is to identify the right mix of outliers, large-cap alts, and Bitcoin, as these coins take turns rallying, every few times in the Bitcoin bull run. The bull run isn’t over for Bitcoin, and neither is it for ETH or the outliers.

Changes in HODLing pattern and transition like the one taking place on the ETH network are fueling this shift in leading the alt rally.

Based on the above chart from Santiment, Ethereum’s top 100 non-exchange addresses now collectively hold the highest volume of ETH, historically, since July of 2016. At the same time, the top 100 exchange addresses are making a move in the opposite direction, selling or transferring ETH to other wallets, since they hold the lowest volume of ETH than they did in over two years.

These changes in HODLing of ETH and whale activity are critical to other alts like THETA since they are being discovered more rapidly on spot exchanges now. Traders who are pulling out of BTC and ETH may invest in the altcoins whose trade volume is up and liquidity is driving the price.

One such outlier is THETA and it became the retail traders’ muse only after crossing $10 and that happened this week. The tokens offering double-digit ROI in the past week, are offering negative 24-hour returns at the moment, but the point being examined here is the consistency of ROI and the opportunity for booking unrealized profits.

This may be the alt rally comeback that most traders have waited for, since Bitcoin became rangebound for yet another time in the current market cycle.

Bitcoin’s (BTC) recent gains may be short-lived and “the whole rally in crypto is getting very long in the tooth,” according to Boris Schlossberg, a leading foreign exchange expert. According to ADA‘s 24-hour chart, the number 3 cryptocurrency appears to be forming a double-top pattern that suggests extreme bearish times lay ahead for the crypto asset. Usually, a double-top pattern forms whenever a bull run is wearing off, and the crypto coin is facing massive correction pressure. Additionally, the double-top pattern comes into the picture whenever a crypto coin tests a similar resistance level twice. The lower point of the pattern act as a hosting ground for sellers, closing the door for potential buyers.

As for ADA, the development of a double-top pattern presents a potential correction is in the offing. Meanwhile, Cardano is exchanging hands at $1.437 at the writing time, following a slight price correction. Although Cardano has a chance of settling in the current region, the double-top pattern’s maturity will send the number 3 cryptocurrency spiraling down by significant margins.

On the 4-hour chart, the price dip is likely to test the 50 Simple Moving Average (SMA) first and the 100 and 200 Simple Moving Average if things take a turn for the worst. However, according to the 4-hour SuperTrend technical indicator, Cardano is yet to finish with its upward trend. Recently, the SuperTrend technical indicator presented an indicator to long ADA.

In the case of Cardano, as long as the SuperTrend technical indicator rests under the coin’s price, the market should expect further upward price movement.
